Accordionist David DiGiuseppe is equally at home performing Irish tunes in a pub, French musettes in a cabaret, contra or Cajun music for a dance, or in the intimate setting of a concert hall. He travels the United States playing for New England–style contra dances, both as a featured accordionist and with his dance band FootLoose.
An accomplished multi–instrumentalist, DiGiuseppe plays accordion, concertina, banjo, Appalachian dulcimer, Irish cittern, mandolin and guitar.
DiGiuseppe has released three solo recordings featuring his masterful accordion playing. He appears on three recordings with Footloose as well as on many other musicians’ recordings. He also performs on several issues of Shoofly, an audiomagazine for children.
He has written two extensive collections of traditional tunes arranged for accordion published and distributed by Mel Bay Publications.

Great music! Footloose is such a familiar name... have you guys played any dances at the Monday Club in St Louis? I also may have seen the name on a dance weekend flyer. The Catharsis recording is great. Good tempo and good tunes. Flying Home to Shelley has always been a favorite of mine. It can be a hot tune or a slow chill tune and it works each way. Great stuff.
